Senior Block Manager

Due to unprecedented new business success, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Block Manager to join our Team at our office in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex.

You will be responsible for a portfolio of residential blocks and estates comprising new builds, purpose built and converted properties. The successful applicant will be required to provide outstanding levels of customer service to our clients.

The flexibility to travel for client and resident meetings regularly is a prerequisite, therefore a full, cleaning driving licence will be essential. The ideal candidate will be used to working in a fast-paced and demanding but rewarding environment and be results-driven.

Ideally you will be MTPI (formerly MIRPM) qualified and have over five years’ experience in the block management industry.

Property Manager

Leigh-on-Sea

Due to unprecedented new business success, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Property Manager to join our team based out of our office in Leigh-on-Sea.

You will be responsible for a mixed portfolio of residential blocks, estates and buildings. The successful applicant will be required to provide outstanding levels of customer service to our clients, possess exceptional leasehold knowledge and be competent in handling various situations, including client management, attending regular meetings and conducting regular site visits.

The ideal candidate will preferably be AIRPM qualified and should have a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a similar property management role. A full driving licence and a flexible approach to your working hours is required.

Financial Controller

Southend-on-Sea

The successful candidate will be responsible for the consolidation of the monthly Management Accounts and Management information for all Group Companies and presentation to the CEO. They will manage and report on the Group’s cashflow and forecasts. They will contribute to organisational improvement by gathering and analysing data, preparing reports, reviewing company performance, and recommending process improvements throughout the reporting process.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure timely and accurate production of monthly Management Accounts and Management information for Group Companies for presentation to the CEO
  • Assisting the Chief Financial Officer to prepare budgets and cashflow forecasting
  • Ensuring reporting requirements are met, on time and to a high standard
  • Ensure completion and filing of all quarterly VAT returns
  • Undertake Year End procedures and prepare and collate Year End files for external accountants
  • Liaise with external accountants regarding Group matters and queries arising
  • Ensure all Corporate fees are raised correctly and paid on a timely basis
  • Responsible for gathering and maintaining a wide array of data-related processes and system generated reports.
  • Analysing and interpreting said data ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and usefulness for the completion of the written monthly business report
  • Liaising actively with all departments throughout the company to ensure reporting information is fed back on a timely basis and understood by all users
  • The provision of training to users of the reporting information to ensure reports are comprehensible and action points easily communicated
  • The day to day running of the Corporate team ensuring adequate cover of tasks, training needs identified and addressed, and deadlines met.
  • Other analysis and reporting as required by business needs

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing monthly Management Accounts and Management information for Group Companies and report to the Chief Financial Officer. They will contribute to organisational improvement by gathering and analysing data, preparing reports, reviewing company performance and KPIs against targets and recommending process improvements throughout the reporting process. They must be comfortable with handling and organising large sets of data to assist in the development of high-quality information reports and be able to convert data into meaningful management information. Ideally ACA qualified but most hold full ACCA or CIMA qualification to be considered. Experience of using SAGE50 is preferred.

Cash Accountant

Southend-on-Sea

As we continue to grow, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Cash Accountant to take the next step in their finance career and join our increasingly busy Corporate Accounts team at our Head Office in Southend-on-Sea, Essex.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing monthly and quarterly cash flow forecasts ensuring updates are completed daily and accurately.
  • Accountable for the daily upload of invoicing and bank account process, reconciliation of payments, receipts and operational processes.
  • Responsible for the daily allocation of payments and receipts to customers and supply chain.
  • Contributing to the monthly management accounts pack, including dashboard reporting.
  • Posting authorisations within policy of all daily cashbook, monthly balance sheets and reconciliations and are reported accurately.
  • Reconciling all bank and cash accounts within the control environment to strict deadlines, providing quality control of daily cashbook and treasury process.
  • Responsible for changes to systems and user acceptance tested and signed off prior to deployment.
  • Accountable for weekly payments, review all faster payments, BACS, CHAPS and FCY payments.

The successful candidate has proven experience in technical accounting skills with a focus on cash management. You will have a high degree of analytical skills, with prior experience monitoring and reporting compliance of treasury activities with approved policies.

Experience using Sage 50 is desirable, as is a proficiency in Microsoft Office. Ideally you will have an ACA or ACCA qualification, or are already working towards achieving it.

Assistant Credit Controller

Southend-on-Sea

As we continue to grow, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Credit Controller to join our increasingly busy team at our Head Office in Southend-on-Sea, Essex.

This role includes, but is not limited to:

  • Recovering outstanding debts at properties within our portfolio
  • Liaising with Leaseholders on a daily basis to chase outstanding debts
  • Handle incoming Leaseholder account queries
  • Scanning and filing all documentation that passes through
  • Assist with legal and credit control administrative duties
  • Liaising with Service Charge debtors, mortgagees, the Court and FTT
  • Processing Letters Before Action
  • Raising and processing cheques
  • Diarising all litigation (Court and FTT) deadlines
  • Drafting Court documents, forms and issuing/lodging items at Court
  • Creating hearing bundles
  • Provide a breakdown debt report to the Legal Manager

The successful candidate can demonstrate excellent client communication skills, have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel, possess strong administrative skills, an ability to work to strict deadlines and handle a large and varied caseload. You will be used to working in a fast-paced and demanding environment. A high level of attention to detail will be required, as well as able to exercise confidentiality and discretion at all times and previous credit control experience is preferred.
