Property Administrator

As a Property Administrator at Gateway, you will be responsible for providing effective and efficient administrative support to a team of busy Property Managers. Your role will require strong organisational skills, meticulous attention to detail and proactivity, ensuring the smooth running of our property management operations. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, eager to learn and possess excellent IT skills, including proficiency in Word and Excel.

Your role will provide you with valuable exposure to a wide range of responsibilities, including, but not limited to:

  • Provide administrative support to Property Managers for a diverse portfolio of residential blocks
  • Assist with scheduling and coordinating meetings, including Annual General Meetings (AGMs) and Directors' meetings
  • Liaise with clients, residents, and contractors to support day-to-day property management functions
  • Assist with preparing documents, reports, and correspondence related to property management
  • Ensure the accurate management of property files, budgets, and other administrative records
  • Coordinate maintenance requests, repairs, and compliance checks as directed by Property Managers

You will be required to work full time in our Mayfair Office, with hours of 9:00am to 5:30pm.

We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Operative to carry out general maintenance and repairs across residential developments in the South East, including London. This role involves a variety of tasks to ensure our properties remain safe, functional, and well-maintained.

Key responsibilities:

  • Conducting minor electrical repairs (e.g., changing light fittings, replacing sockets)
  • Basic plumbing tasks such as fixing leaks and unblocking drains
  • General carpentry, including repairing doors, locks, and skirting boards

As we continue to grow, we are searching for a confident Marketing Assistant to join us at our Head Office in Southend-on-Sea, Essex.

As a Marketing Assistant at Gateway, you will learn new skills from an experienced Marketing Team to support and execute the company’s marketing strategy.

Your role will provide you with valuable exposure to a wide range of responsibilities, including, but not limited to:

  • Contributing towards the overall creative process, from brief to delivery
  • Spearheading our events calendar confidently, taking the lead on the preparation and execution of the set up and marketing materials for each event we host/attend
  • Assisting with the company’s internal and external documentation rebrand
  • Assisting with the preparation of the company’s monthly newsletter to 27,000+ subscribers, developing interesting article ideas and supplying copy
  • Creating content for, as well as managing and monitoring the company’s social media accounts
  • Video editing informative company videos for internal and external purposes
  • Continual quality control of the company’s websites
  • Preparing and organising weekly marketing mailers
  • Developing fresh ideas for the company’s marketing strategy
  • Supporting other departments with their marketing enquiries

As a Solicitor for Gateway, you will collaborate with seasoned industry experts, leveraging your legal expertise to handle a diverse range of complex property-related matters, including residential conveyancing and property management, while contributing to the continued growth and success of the business.

Your role will provide you with valuable exposure to a wide range of legal responsibilities, including: 

  • Managing your own caseload of residential freehold and leasehold sales, purchases and mortgages
  • Drafting, negotiating, and implementing sale and purchase correspondence and documents
  • Reporting on title, settling transactions and client reporting
  • Instructing searches and reports
  • Maintaining all matters using a sophisticated Case Management System
  • Leading a small team of conveyancers as the department develops
  • Filing and other administration


When required, you will also be responsible for a range of property management matters, including:

  • Supporting all litigation matters, including County Court proceedings and First Tier Tribunal (Property Chamber) applications
  • Assisting with lease extensions, enfranchisement, and RTM (Right to Manage) processes
  • Handling complex enquiries raised by the Solicitors Enquiries Department on lease assignments, deeds of covenant, notice of transfer, and consents
  • Providing advice, support, and guidance to Property Managers

Essentials for the Role
You will be required to work full time in our Southend Office, with hours of 9:00am to 5:30pm.

The successful candidate must be a qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (NQ  - 4 years) with prior experience in residential conveyancing and landlord and tenant/long leaseholder disputes, including but not limited to service charge and breach of covenant disputes. Primary responsibilities will include assisting the Group Solicitor with all legal matters across the Group. You should be accustomed to working in a fast-paced and demanding environment, with a strong focus on attention to detail.
